“We, the Network of Young People Affected by War (NYPAW) envision a world where children are no longer used and targeted in war, a world that is just, inclusive and supportive of the participation of children and young people in bringing about change”.
We want to be a source of hope and inspiration for the younger generation caught up in conflict. We’ve identified several strategies targeting and engaging governments, law and policy makers, media, humanitarian and peace practitioners, academia and researchers, business leaders and the general public to contribute to our vision becoming a reality.
We work in support of United Nations efforts to promote and support children and young people’s rights. NYPAW collaborates with international agencies’ campaigns and programs to end children’s involvement in war.
NYPAW was created with the guidance of the Office of the Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Children and Armed Conflict, Save the Children, UNICEF and War Child Holland
